Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to the FAQ section of our Karate Do Association. This page is designed to answer the most common questions we receive from students, parents, and those interested in joining our association. Whether you are a complete beginner curious about how to get started, a parent wondering about the safety and structure of our classes, or an existing student with questions about belt examinations and certificates — you will find clear and helpful answers here.

Our association is committed to transparency and open communication. We believe that well-informed students and families make the most committed practitioners. Karate Do is not just a martial art — it is a discipline that builds character, confidence, physical fitness, and mental focus at every age. Our classes are structured to be safe, progressive, and rewarding for students from 5 years of age and above, with no prior experience required to begin.

If you do not find the answer to your question on this page, we encourage you to reach out to us directly through the Contact Us page or speak to your nearest branch coordinator. Our team is always happy to assist you. We update this FAQ section regularly based on the queries we receive from our growing community of students and families across all branches.

We welcome students of all ages — from children as young as 5 years old to adults of any age. Our classes are grouped by age and skill level to ensure every student receives appropriate instruction. We offer dedicated batches for kids (5–12), teenagers (13–17), and adults (18+).

We follow the traditional Shitoryu belt ranking system, progressing from white belt through yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, and black belt. Grading examinations are held periodically and assess technique, kata, kumite, and attitude. Students are promoted based on readiness and consistent performance.

Yes, private coaching is available for students who require individual attention, accelerated preparation for tournaments, or are training toward a specific grading examination. Please contact us directly to schedule a private session and discuss fees.

Our training fees are structured by program type and batch timing. We also offer a Scholarship Program for students who demonstrate outstanding dedication, discipline, and skill but face financial constraints. Contact our office for the current fee schedule and scholarship application details.

Enrollment is simple. You can apply through our Online Admission form on the website or visit our dojo in person during office hours (Monday to Friday, 10AM–4PM). You will need to bring a recent passport-size photograph and a valid ID proof. Upon enrollment, students will receive a welcome kit including their schedule, uniform sizing guide, and dojo rules.
